Works under limited supervision.
Essential Functions and Duties 1.
Operations a.
Daily supervision of employees and operators including work assignments, schedules, work priorities, and training as needed b.
Responsible for handling and/or scheduling inspections and fixing any violations received; meets with the DEP c.
Promotes recycling; assists in recycling activities d.
Handles public inquiries and/or complaints e.
Participate in forecasting and budgeting with management f.
Must be able to perform all the functions of the staff because this is a working management position, which includes:
operating equipment and machinery, separating material, directing yard traffic, and operating the scale 2.
Maintenance a.
Maintains the physical appearance and machinery of the entire yard - responsible for submitting work orders for repairs and ordering supplies b.
Responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment c.
Inspects the site to determine if current procedures and methods are best, if not, brainstorms to come up with better, more efficient workflows and ways to streamline processes 3.
Administration a.
Completes and maintains daily logs, incident reports, and other required paperwork or reports as required b.
Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of new technologies, laws, and government regulations that can affect the industry c.
Complete training requirements as requested by the upper management 4.
Safety a.
Following pre-established safety policies and guidelines b.
Wearing PPE as required while on facility grounds and conducting work-related business c.
Following company rules and federal, state, and local laws d.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards Job Type:
